StrataTech Education Group Supports ACE Mentor Program of America on ACE Day of Action

StrataTech and ACE look to highlight the importance of mentorship in the skilled trades industry

PHOENIX (Sept. 14, 2021) – Today, StrataTech Education Group is joining forces with the ACE Mentor Program of America (ACE) to support the second annual ACE Day of Action. This day is intended to mobilize the architecture, construction and engineering, and related areas of the building design and construction industry to show their support for mentorship within the skilled trades industry.

The ACE Mentor Program is a free, award-winning, after-school program designed to attract high school students into pursuing careers in architecture, construction, engineering including skilled trades. To date, ACE Mentors have contributed over $17.5 million in pro bono time and the program has awarded more than $23 million in scholarships to students.

Earlier this year, the ACE Mentor Program appointed StrataTech President and CEO Mary Kelly to its board of directors. In support of the second annual ACE Day of Action, StrataTech Education Group will contribute $2,000 in scholarships for tuition use at   any of its four campuses that include Tulsa Welding School (TWS) in Tulsa, TWS Jacksonville, Tulsa Welding School & Technology Center and The Refrigeration School.

“Working with ACE this year has been extremely rewarding,” said StrataTech CEO Mary Kelly. “Today marks a powerful day for industry partners to join together to support the next generation of skilled trade workers. We’re proud to be part of this action and look forward to elevating awareness about the ACE Mentor Program as part of our involvement.”

ACE currently operates in 77 affiliates, covering 36 states where it helps connect more than 10,000 students and 4,100 mentors each year.

“The ACE Mentor Program looks forward to serving students across the country with high quality mentoring in this upcoming 2021-2022 school. It is critical that we take the lessons learned from 2020 and use them to provide even greater access to students who need it,” said Diana Eidenshink, President of the ACE Mentor Program of America. “2020 showed us how committed our sponsors are to ACE students and growing the workforce pipeline for the design and construction industry.”

Companies participating in #ACEDay2021 are encouraged to use the templates and materials provided by the ACE National Office or to create their own unique content. For more information on the ACE Mentor Program and their available scholarships, visit www.acementor.org

About the ACE Mentor Program

Founded in 1994, ACE, which stands for Architecture, Construction and Engineering, works to engage, excite and enlighten high school students to pursue careers in architecture, engineering and construction through mentoring and to support their continued advancement in the industry. The main objective is to work with underrepresented students that do not have the guidance and support to help them uncover opportunities for their future. Volunteer industry professionals mentor students and lead them through a hands-on simulation of designing and constructing buildings.
