Tulsa, Oklahoma – August 1, 2012 – Tulsa Welding School (TWS) is pleased to announce the launch of the new Pipefitting Training Program with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Expansion Campus located at 2233 East 11th Street, Tulsa, OK, on Thursday, August 9th at 10:00am. TWS will also host an Open House on Saturday, August 11th from 10:00am to 1:00pm at both locations – 2545 E. 11th Street, Tulsa, OK and 2233 East 11th Street, Tulsa, OK.
Tulsa Mayor Dewey F. Bartlett, Jr., will make a special appearance and speech at the Pipefitting Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. At the Open House, Darryl Starbird will make a special appearance with one of his hot rods for a meet-and-greet.
Everyone is invited for the Ribbon Cutting and Open House events to learn more about the new Pipefitting 6 ½ month training program which trains graduates to pursue opportunities as pipefitters, pipe layers, steamfitters, plumbers, or boilermakers. Guests can also learn more about the Professional Welder 7 month training program.
At the Open House, take a tour of the classrooms and workshop, win door prizes donated by Lincoln and Airgas, meet with experienced faculty, and learn about financial aid (for those who qualify). TWS will also be collecting school supplies for local elementary schools. Guests are encouraged to bring pencils, pens, glue, markers, crayons, rulers, construction paper, white copy paper, and any other classroom supplies.
